Access the full Airfree GIS platform over REST and OGC standards — tile rendering, feature queries, coverages, processing, and geocoding.
The Geospatial API is the programmatic entry point to the Airfree GIS platform. It serves vector and raster data over both modern OGC API standards and the established OGC web services, so it interoperates with everything from a browser map to a desktop GIS.
Modern OGC API endpoints
The OGC API family is JSON-first and hyperlinked. Start at the collections endpoint to discover what is published, then drill into features, tiles, or maps.
# List collections
curl https://airfree.au/api/v1/ogc/collections \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AIRFREE_TOKEN"
# Query features with a bounding box
curl "https://airfree.au/api/v1/ogc/collections/parcels/items?bbox=138.5,-35.0,138.7,-34.8&limit=100" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AIRFREE_TOKEN"Classic OGC web services
For existing clients, the same data is available through fully conformant WMS, WFS, WCS, and WMTS endpoints. These implement the mandatory conformance classes in full and are regularly tested against the OGC CITE engine.
- WMS 1.3.0 — rendered map images.
- WFS 2.0 — vector feature access and transactions.
- WCS 2.1 — raster coverages.
- WMTS 1.0 — pre-rendered tile pyramids.
Processing and geocoding
Analytical operations are exposed as OGC API — Processes jobs (buffering, overlay, terrain analysis, routing), and address search and reverse geocoding are available through the geocoding service. All operate on the platform’s own data and respect the caller’s tenant scope.
