2017
Founded in Sydney
Airfree Group incorporated in New South Wales with a founding team of geospatial engineers and cloud architects from Australia's federal mapping agencies.
2019
First government contract
Awarded a multi-year national cadastral platform contract with an Australian state land authority — our first enterprise-grade GIS deployment at government scale.
2020
Pacific & South-East Asia expansion
Opened regional offices in Singapore and Auckland, extending sovereign cloud deployments to eight Pacific Island nations and four ASEAN member states.
2021
Airfree Geospatial & Maps launched
Launched the Airfree Geospatial Platform and Airfree Maps as standalone products, bringing enterprise GIS and 3D mapping to commercial and public sector customers worldwide.
2022
R&D partnerships established
Signed foundational research agreements with three leading Australian universities and the national space agency, anchoring our spatial AI and earth observation research pipeline.
2023
Digital Infrastructure portfolio
Launched Airfree Clouds and Airfree Mail, completing our integrated digital infrastructure stack from sovereign cloud to enterprise communications.
2024
East Africa & Middle East
Extended operations to twelve new countries including Kenya, Tanzania, UAE, and Saudi Arabia — supporting national land registration modernisation programmes.
