Operating leadership

Uchechukwu Nnam

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Uchechukwu is a spatial technology entrepreneur who founded Airfree Group with the conviction that geospatial intelligence would become the operating layer of the digital economy. He has spent over a decade at the intersection of satellite data, cloud-native GIS, and government digital transformation — working with national mapping agencies and infrastructure operators across Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. He sets the long-term direction of the Group and leads strategic partnerships at the sovereign level.

How we work

We build for the long term

Our platforms underpin decisions that affect land ownership, infrastructure safety, and national security. That means we hold ourselves to a higher standard than product velocity or quarterly revenue metrics. We design for correctness first, resilience second, and elegance third — in that order, without exception.

We believe the best geospatial technology is invisible: it gives the surveyor, the urban planner, the disaster coordinator exactly what they need at the moment they need it, and gets out of the way. The teams who build that kind of software are curious, accountable, and uncommonly good at working across disciplines — GIS engineers alongside policy analysts, AI researchers alongside field operators.

We treat our clients' data as a public trust, not a product. Every architectural decision starts with the question: would we be comfortable if our clients' citizens knew exactly how this worked? If the answer is no, we rebuild it until it is yes.
