Cancel your subscription

How to cancel, what happens to your mail, and how to export first.

You can cancel at any time. Your paid features remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan.

Before you cancel

Export your mail if you might exceed the Free storage limit (see Data export).
Settings → Plan & Billing → Cancel subscription.
To delete the account entirely instead, use Settings → Security → Delete account.

Downgrading does not delete mail, but if you are over the Free storage limit you will need to reduce usage before sending new mail.
