Requesting a refund for a domain

When domains and services are refundable, and how to request one.

Refund eligibility depends on the service. Subscriptions follow our standard terms, while domain registrations are governed by strict registry rules that we pass on to you honestly.

Domain registrations

Some gTLDs allow a short grace-period refund shortly after registration; many do not.
Renewals and transfers are generally non-refundable once processed.
Premium domains are non-refundable.

How to request

Open a request from Billing → Invoices → Request refund, or contact support with the invoice number. We will tell you plainly whether the item is refundable under the registry rules before anything is processed.

Because domain refund windows are set by each registry and can be very short, contact us as soon as possible if a registration was a mistake.
